Pfizer wanted to help GPs in Ireland by providing them with something highly useful and practical. As part of changes to ICGP rules, all GPs must ensure they maintain and track their personal development with ongoing Continuous Medical Education (CME). Combined Media stepped in and developed such a tool with a CME tracking and management tool called CMEdiary.
With their partners, First Medical Communications, Combined Media designed and built a CME tracking and recording tool. The site allows GPs to record all aspects of their training and then to produce reports for compliance as required.
The system is integrated with a Text registration mechanism along with an integrated Kiosk swipe solution which allows GPs to record their CME points at larger events by simply swiping their CME cards at CMEdiary kiosks located at these events.
This system has proved immensely popular and within the first months of the launch, hundreds of GPs had already signed up. The system is planned to be extended to include secondary care health professionals in the not too distant future.
